The Irish Marching Bands Association welcomes bands, musicians, and visitors from around Ireland and the world to a new Summer band festival in Limerick, Ireland! These organisations have helped the marching arts and bands across the world to grow and prosper and we are proud to welcome them to Ireland and to the Celtic Horizon Band Festival.



Irish Marching Band Association

The IMBA is a non profit making voluntary organisation who's primary focus is to promote and develop the calibre of marching music ensembles in Ireland.

World Association of Marching Show Bands

The World Association of Marching Show Bands (WAMSB) is an international band association dedicated to promoting global communication and interaction between marching show bands. The Association aims to encourage active participation in marching show bands universally, to strengthen the movement internationally, and to stimulate the staging of world-class band events.

DCI’s Soundsport

A program of Drum Corps International, SoundSport® is designed to provide unique performance opportunities for instrumental music ensembles of all types, in a dynamic environment. SoundSport® events showcase instrumental ensembles of any instrumentation and any skill level year-round, spotlighting their unique talents and creativity like never before

Drum Corps Europe

Drum Corps Europe was set up in 2000 with the aim of putting drum & bugle corps, which at the time barely existed anymore in many places in Europe, back on the map and help it flourish. The aim of DCE is to ensure that as many people as possible enjoy drum & bugle corps as much as possible.

Situated on Ireland’s longest river, the Shannon, Limerick is one of Ireland’s cultural hotspots and home to many festivals and arts organisations. From medieval castles to lively art galleries, Limerick has something for everybody, but perhaps the biggest attraction of all is the people themselves who are warm, witty and welcoming!
