The Celtic Horizon Band Festival is a partnership between the Irish Marching Band Association and Celtic Horizon Tours. This Summer band festival takes place on the last weekend of July each year and aims to bring bands of all shapes, sizes, and abilities from around Ireland and the world together to perform at the University of Limerick and in Limerick City!

Clondalkin Youth Band Smiles

“It is with great excitement that we embark on this project to welcome bands from around the globe to Ireland.

Ireland has a very rich culture of music and arts and our community marching bands are a vital part of educating the youth of Ireland in instrumental music and performance. We are very enthusiastic about this venture and look forward to meeting you all very soon!”

A festival for all Bands

Bands around Ireland come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and abilities. It’s the goal of our festival to offer competitive, and non-competitive performance opportunities for all of these bands and musicians. We aim to provide a safe learning environment, where instructors and youth leaders can learn from some of the world’s top marching arts adjudicators and clinicians.

Marching in Ireland is more than just St. Patrick’s Day!

This festival aims to put Ireland on the international stage when it comes to marching and concert bands. Now bands from around the globe can come to Ireland not only for St. Patrick’s Day, but during the Summer period as they take part in field shows, SoundSport, concert band, and parade events.
